VO Hi-Lo hub, PBP wheel set, 700c

Velo Orange Hi-Lo hubs laced with DT Swiss spokes to VO PBP rims. 32 hole front, 36 hole rear.

The Velo Orange high/low rear hub is a four bearing design with the same quality of Japanese bearings as the Grand Cru hubs. (We just can't see how saving $20 by using cheap hub bearings makes any sense.) The alloy cassette body has three large pawls and is well sealed.

As with the Grand Cru high flange touring hubs, they can be disassembled without tools for cleaning or service. VO internal-cam quick releases are included.

Standard Shimano-splined alloy cassette body accepts 7,8,9, and 10 speed cassettes (7speed requires a 4.5mm spacer). 130mm spacing.

The front hub also has Japanese bearings and includes a VO internal-cam quick release.

The PBP rims weigh around 450g. The 19mm outside width and 13.2mm inside width is ideal for tires up to 32mm. ERD is 606mm. We paid a little more for stainless eyelets and a lot more for a high polish non-anodized finish. We kept the graphics down to an absolute minimum; there is a simple VO sticker for identity.
